The Exploratorium is a museum in San Francisco full of hundreds of hands-on exhibits, most of them made onsite, that mix science and art. It also aims to promote museums as informal education centers. Mount Rushmore National Memorial sculpture by Gutzon Borglum represents the first 150 years of the history of the United States of America. Featuring 60-foot/18 m sculptures of the heads of former United States presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. It's definitively a must to see. It is located on the Black Hills National Forest.

A mock up of Mount Rushmore initial project. As you can see, it was then planned to carve not only heads but aslo chests and jackets. Eventually, the project ran out of money. Still a great Monument to visit.
